On Tuesday, February 22, 2017, RERF Chairman Ohtsura Niwa spoke during a press conference at the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Japan (FCCJ) in Tokyo’s Chiyoda Ward.
At the press conference, Dr. Niwa explained how RERF’s 70 years of A-bomb survivor data and studies of the offspring of survivors have contributed to the world. He also touched on RERF’s health survey of emergency workers at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant after the March 11, 2011, Great East Japan Earthquake, given that the sixth anniversary is to be observed next month in March.
