The television program Wake up! Plus, aired by the Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation (Yomiuri TV) on August 12, 2017, featured a segment titled “Truth of the atomic bombings-Research without treatment: the darkness of ABCC,” in which the Radiation Effects Research Foundation (RERF), and its predecessor the Atomic Bomb Casualty Commission (ABCC), were covered. However, the segment included information that was untrue. In response, RERF requested on August 17 that the portions of the program concerned be corrected. On August 31, however, we received a reply from Yomiuri TV indicating that the company did not feel the program’s content required correction.

Still believing this broadcast to contain factual errors, RERF has posted our reaction to this issue and related documentation.
