研究員について

原爆被爆者および被爆二世の放射線の健康影響について、臨床調査研究を行っています。特に甲状腺への放射線影響について関心があり、原爆被爆者の甲状腺疾患について長崎大学と共同で様々な角度から継続的に調査研究しており、福島第一原発事故緊急作業従事者の甲状腺調査にも携わっています。また国際コンソーシアムに参加し、潜在性甲状腺機能異常がもたらす心血管疾患など様々な疾患への影響についても検討を行っています。所内では臨床検査やバイオサンプルの利用審査にも携わっています。内科医であり、日本甲状腺学会専門医、日本内分泌学会内分泌代謝科専門医、日本内科学会総合内科専門医の認定を受けています。
