Satoru Ono

Dr. Ono assumed the position of Chief of the Department of Information Technology in June 2020. Previously, Dr. Ono was the information system administrator of the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Frontier Science. He has long been involved in the management and operation of information systems at universities. In the process, he has also gained experience in the operation and management of electronic medical chart systems at university hospitals. The research field he is interested in is practical technological applications of computer network systems. In the process, he has been working on the utilization of machine learning, which has been used in various fields in recent years. In addition to enhancing the IT infrastructure of our institute, he will further promote the DX (Digital Transformation) by increasing the availability of the research resources, which are not only digital data but also paper documents.
